Olivia Kyriakidou, is an organizational psychologist. However, she is not just a professor. She encourages students to follow their dreams and not be at the mercy of anyone. She, followed in turn, her own. She writes for social change and social entrepreneurship and was recently elected as Editor of the international journal European Management Review.
Iordanis Ladopoulos has been hosted at London Business School and the Sloan Management School at MIT in managing the development of HR of large companies. His entire education and research developed through the Event Management and Business Thought completed 33 years running in the AUEB, culminating in the of Panorama Entrepreneurship and Career. Panorama is the largest multi-conference on youth entrepreneurship and career guidance .
Michela Pelusio is an Italian artist and curator, who has created and exhibited installations and performances across Europe, Asia and America. She creates immersive experiences utilizing space, light, matter and sound, producing sensations of being present in an environment, that is magic and non-recordable. Her research involves the exploration of human perception, the sense of the place, nature and culture, art and science.
Time to dance! Bellin, otherwise known as Melin and Belan, travel us in the world of breakdance. Engaged in the hip-hop and popping the last six years, the last months they are a dance duo that spurs the looks of passersby on the streets of Athens. For them, thoughts are expressed with music and words with figures. Following the path of pop dance, their feet will bear the scene where TEDxAUEB will lure us into their own pace.
Natalia and Vassia were involved since little with exercise and specifically with the Instrumental-acrobatic. Today, they are in the fourth year of Gymnastics Academy in Athens. They met at school, they tied almost instantly and the last 3 years are very good friends. Their common interests and activities led to the creation of the acrodance, which operates the last year.
Dimitris was born in Athens and has graduated from Athens University of Economics and Business. From a young age he discovered his inclination for technology and social media. He managed to work for multinational companies like Bell Labs and Accenture. He has developed the Aueb+ application for the students of Athens University of Economics and Business. Dimitris is passionate about anything innovative and dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur who will inspire future generations.
Xavier Oliver is professor at IESE Business School, at the ISEM Fashion Business School, at the IICS (Instituto Internacional de Ciencias Sociais) de Sao Paulo, Brasil and at the Faculty of Communication at the University of Navarra. He is also an author on strategic branding and marketing issues. Prof. Oliver completed IESE’s Program for Management Development in 1979, the Strategic Marketing Management Program at Harvard University in 1985 and the Senior Management Program (SMP) Omnicom University, Babson, Mass. EEUU (2005/2006). He earned his Ph.D. in advertising from the University of Navarra. He has been Chairman and CEO of BBDO Spain, a holding company with 1,200 employees and 13 commercial communications companies. After 32 years of service, he left BBDO to devote himself to teaching and his winery and consultancy.
Born in 1973 in Thessaloniki, he was raised and lived most of his life there. At the age of 15 he entered the world of addiction. After 10 “frozen” years, through self-support teams, he manages to come out of this world. He starts studying and he becomes advisor at Strathclyde University. Having experienced this unpleasant past, motivated him to create Arogi 12+
Nick Adam was born in Thessaloniki in 2001. He is a student of Junior High School and at the age of 6 he begun his experiments with technology. He is self-taught and since then he has created several sites, such as “Tech is Game”.Nick is interested in many fields, he has produced videos and songs and he dreams to deal with privacy terms and satefy on the internet zone.
Antonis Tsakoumis was born in Athens – Greece and from his early youth has expressed an intense adoration towards smart electronic devices. In the late 80’s he got his first computer (Amstrad 6128) where he started writing C code. After finishing high school he continued his studies moving to Information Technology. He’s been working in IT related industries ever since getting his diploma in 1996. In 2012 he founded BitcoinX.gr, the first Bitcoin related news site in Greece. In 2013 he arranged the first Bitcoin meeting in Athens Greece and in 2014 he attended the second Bitcoin meeting in Patras.
Auguste Corteau is the pen name of the Greek author Petros Hadjopoulos. He was born in Thessaloniki, in 1979. In addition to the fifteen novels, novellas and short stories collections he has published over the years, he has also worked extensively as a translator, and has translated into Greek numerous works by masters of prose such as Nabokov, Banville, Updike, Annie Proulx and Cormac McCarthy. The son of a mother who suffered from, and ultimately succumbed to, bipolar disorder, he has struggled with depression, publicizing his own experiences to raise awareness regarding the beneficial effects of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
Yonatan and the team at Kano want to give a new generation the chance to build a computer, just like Lego. Nearly 3 billion people are now online. More than 1.5 billion computing devices were sold in 2013. Nearly $10 billion is spent on public education globally every day. Yet, we see 22% youth unemployment rate in Europe and we think we’re giving our kids the (right) chance in a world with sealed devices, designed by and for a minority tech-literate population. Inspired by a Super Mario childhood, obsessive curiosity about creation, and a passion for making ideas happen, Yonatan embarked on a mission to build Kano – the first computer kit that anyone can make – simple as Lego, teaches code, gives you superpowers.
Three years ago, when he was passing through the door of the 4th Elementary School of Nea Smyrni, as a Headmaster, leaving behind his position of School Counselor -which is an institutionally higher position- he was wondering if he had made the right decision. He was wondering if he would be able to create a School, with the help of pupils, teachers, parents and most importantly with the help of the wider local community and of the neightbourhood. He was wondering if he would be able to create a School that would be dominated by the pedagogical principles of Alexandros Delmouzos. A School open to ideas and innovative actions, a School that would educate pupils for life. A School with a vision, that would be a point of reference and a place of activity in the entire neighbourhood. A StateSchool that pupils would love and parents would trust. After three years of uphill and creative route, he will say that, yes, he had made the right decision, because not only have he had achieved some goals, but he is also have given vision and hope, and he has turned the 4th Elementary School into the School of our hearts!

Laurens is the son of a Greek mother and a Dutch father. He is the founder of Domaine Karanika winery in Amydeo. Both he and his wife Annette have lived all their life in the Netherlands and had worked for about 15 years in various management positions in publishing before one day they decided to pursue their dream: to produce top-quality wine. Over the years, they were trained as winemakers, oenologists and vineyardists in Europe and the US. They seriously considered all options, from Australia to Germany, but their love for the amazing Xinomavro variety led them to Amyndeo in Greece.
Marina Satti, a.k.a. Satti, is a Greek singer-songwriter-multinstrumentalist. Being half Sudanese, brought to her many different musical influences from an early age. She started taking classical piano and voice lessons at the age of 10. In 2008 she earned her first degree in classical performance (opera studies), while two years later she graduated from Berklee College of Music, majoring in Contemporary Writing&Production. During the last ten years, she has collaborated with artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Wayne Shorter, Patrice Rushen, Mario Frangoulis, Tareq and has performed in venues such as the Kennedy Center (Washington DC), Mihail Jora Concert Hall, Reduta Jazz club, Megaro Moussikis and more.
Born in Thessaloniki in 1978, Aris Dimokidis always wanted to become a journalist. As a kid and teen he created mock newspapers and pretended he presented radio shows, imagining his bedroom as some kind of media Headquarters. He studied Media and Cultural Studies in London, his MA was Arts Management, in London as well. After that he returned to Thessaloniki – and never left. He works as a journalist and he is the Manager of the website LIFO.GR, but at the same time he writes children’s books, 13 of which have been published in the last 5 years. He still works from his bedroom.
Zoi Kantounatou was born in Thessaloniki in 1988. She studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. Tired of constantly hearing about that the world goes around money and power, she decided to prove the world wrong. So she moved to Scotland and did a Master on Socio-economic Development. Being under the spell of a fairytale country with castles and lochs, she stayed after graduating to build her dream. She is the Community & Events Manager of Power of Youth, a team of people who are building a global network of values – led entrepreneurs. She spent her days meeting extraordinary people who follow their dreams, making a small change to the world.
Panagiotis, is the “centaur” of Free and Real, an organization that aims to the Freedom of Resources for Everyone, Respect, Equality, Awareness and Learning. They are dreaming to create an independent eco-community that will combine strategic usage of technology and unconditional offer. Panagiotis is a curious and resourceful person, he combines raw materials with environmental conditions patiently, persistently, passionately to plant seeds to soil and also to the souls of people.
He spends his days meeting the smartest and brightest people with incredible ideas that actually have potential to change the world and make it a better place. His job is to meet and coach researchers and students at The Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, in Stockholm, and help them commercialize their ideas and results. Among the things he has co-created so far are: 4 TEDx events, The Innovation Pavilion, The Student Incubator, The Early Bird Network, Open Lab, Student Innovator Award and Armada Startup.
